This is my first translation fo the series of videos about Streptocarpus, which was made bu Pavel Enikeev, Dimetris' founder.

Here are a few comments.

In the video Pavel showed one rosette (the one that he has named the best one). This plant has enough roots and does not need to be put under the dome to 100% humidity. Pavel just had shown what he would had done if the plant had much less roots. In this hypothetical case roots surface would not be enough to provide water to large leaves surface. He would have cut off more than half from the two largest leaves and then the plant would have been put under the dome.

This video shows rejuvenation of Streptocarpus hybrids that with times tend to have many rosettes. We call it Streptocarpus with crowded rosettes. However, it does not apply to many new Dimetris's varieties that have only one rosette. These hybrids does not need to be divided and cleaned very often. Also they may produce even more blooms. Please see the table that shows hybrids with different types of rosette. catalog-en/index.php It will be under the "Main characteristics of the variety" , column: "PhsCh"
