DS-MYSTICISM
Description of the variety
DS-Mysticism is one of the best representatives of fragrant varieties, with strong age variation of flower color from purple to pink. So on one bush, and even on one stalk, it may flaunt flowers of different colors, giving it a mystic quality. Flowers are large, averaging 9 cm (3.5’) in diameter. Medium-sized rosette has interesting, very wide, unique oval leaves.
Cultivation
Since DS-Mystery has broad leaves, when growing these plants you should leave only one rosette. Small leaves and rosettes developing in the center of the rosette should be removed; otherwise, they will interfere with flowering and growth of the main rosette. If you fail to thin out the additional rosettes, you can always select the strongest rosette and root it again. If you want your plant to bloom constantly for at least a year, do not forget to transplant it. The plant will bloom profusely even in winter if you prolong daylight by adding a few hours of fluorescent light. When your plant is about three-years-old it’s time to rejuvenate it by rooting young rosette. The optimal size of the pot for a two-year plant is 15 cm (6’), the maximum is 18 cm (7’).
