For a long time we struggled to find a way to compare increasing varieties of Streptocarpus.

Dimetris is launching a new way of assessing and comparing Streptocarpus varieties. Dozens of features are identified and compared. Results are summarized in the form of a table. So far only a few hybrids are on the table. You could find this table here and watch it grow.

Currently, Pavel Enikeev is working on adding the rest of Dimetris’ hybrids to the table. With time we hope to fill the empty space in the table and add more as new varieties are developed.

Please note that in the “forum” columns you will find links to threads dedicated to a particular variety from Russian and English forums. Since the Russian one has existed for eight years and the English one just started, the Russian forum usually has more pictures and info than the English one.

As far as we know this table is the first attempt of its kind to systemize the info about Streptocarpus varieties. We are sure that it will undergo many changes and corrections. We welcome your comments and observations, which you could leave on the forums.

The link to the table is in the subject line

This table is wonderful, thank you. The information for each variety about stem, rosette, flower size, flower drop and so forth is the best part. We appreciate the hard work put into this.
